With a satisfying crack, the rock split open, revealing a cluster of golden crystals nestled in the gray dust. He brushed away the debris, holding the Topaz up to the light; it glowed warmly, promising enough profit to buy new seeds for the spring season.

Reader's Guide

Topaz is primarily acquired through mining in the Mines, specifically between levels forty-one and seventy-nine. Players can also obtain it by breaking Stone, Ice, or Omni Geodes found throughout the valley. While not used for standard crafting recipes, it holds significant economic value. Donating a single Topaz to Gunther at the Museum contributes to the Artifact collection and unlocks rewards upon completion. For profit-focused farmers, selling these gems is highly effective, especially with the Gemologist profession which doubles their base price of three hundred fifty gold. They stack efficiently in inventory. Unlike crops, gemstones do not degrade over time and can be stored indefinitely. They are also occasionally dropped by monsters in deep mine levels or found inside chests during Skull Cavern runs for advanced players seeking quick wealth accumulation.
